Tattered Wings – Release Tour

Hey guys! Kassie Angle is releasing her newest book Tattered Wings!!!! I’m honored to share my review and be one of the first to read her book! This book tour is running today (February 24th) till February 29th, 2020. The blog tour schedule is at the end of this post.

About the Author:

Kassie Angle is a teenaged Christian author, cowgirl, therapy dog trainer, stereotypical INFJ, and Army girl to the core. Her first love, i.e. debut novel, O to be Like Thee, swept her unsuspectedly into the world of indie authors. She tries to use her stories to fill the silences in literature, helping more people understand the world of the Army and showing how God heals the broken-hearted. You can find her and more of her writing at SoldierGirlStories.com.

You can check at Kassie blog HERE

About Tattered Wings:

9565894E-E0F9-4510-BDB5-63DAF9196527Some scars can’t be seen. And some can’t be hidden.

Layla Trent’s life is pretty much perfect, except for the little matter of a dog of her own—and maybe a brother. So why does a random nightmare of a princess dress, a hospital, and a stranger who’s definitely not her daddy feel more like an aching wound? And can a broken, glassy-eyed puppy somehow help her release the pain she didn’t even know she was carrying?

Corporal Andrew Reyes has proven he has what it takes to be the best—a US Army Ranger. But when a double tragedy rocks his world, his resolve is shaken to the core. What’s left for a man to live for when he’s lost everything he ever wanted to be? And is the sudden appearance of a teenage girl with a three-legged dog a cruel joke or a divine appointment?

Some scars can’t be hidden. But some don’t need to be.

My Review: Tattered Wings was a really enjoyable read and the writing style was amazing! I’d give it 4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The characters in the story made me feel like I was just there and the dog in the story was such a sweetie. ❤ I really enjoyed Kassie’s writing style, and I loved reading some more of her cool work! My favorite character would probably be Corporal Andrew Reyes. His character was very emotional and I enjoyed seeing his struggle with life situations. The only thing I’d say was that it would have been nice to see the two plots come together more. But either way I super enjoyed reading it and would recommend this awesome book to my friends! Great job, Kassie ❤

Happy Valentine’s Day, Everybody!

Happy Valentine’s Day, guys! If you’d like to check out my post I did last year for Valentine’s Day click HERE. <<< this post is the informative part of Valentine’s day…my post today is just my side of Valentine’s day 🙂

Every family celebrates Valentine’s Day in their own special way! This year, my family is celebrating in a whole new way! Let me give you a rundown of this past week so you’ll know what today is like!

Monday: Abby (me) wakes up with a cough

Tuesday: Abby (me) wakes up super dizzy and with a small fever

Wednesday: Dad wakes up super dizzy and with a small fever

Thursday: Abby starts feeling better, dad still sick. Little sister starts feeling achy towards bedtime.

Friday (today): Little sister wakes up with a cold, mom starts feeling something coming on, dad recovering but has a cough, Abby (me) trying not to cough up an appendix.

Annnd that’s how my family is celebrating Valentines Day! If we weren’t sick we’d probably be doing school and working so I guess this sickness is a blessing as we all get to rest…but I think I’d choose reading 30 pages about how microwaves work for Chemistry over this cough 😂

Well guys, Happy Valentines Day! I hope you all have a great day! And if you have any chocolate…eat so for me ❤ ❤

What do you guys do on Valentine’s day? What’s your favorite kind of chocolate (dark, milk, or white)?

Winter Photo Haul!

Hey guys! Today is a winter photo haul for you guys! They aren’t perfect and some are just for fun! Enjoy 🙂

I think this photo is SUPER cool!

Below are some photos I’m entering in a nature contest…what do you guys think of them? Let me know, please 🙂

The Pen-Pal Tag

Hello everyone! Today I’m here with a really fun tag that Rosy over at Rosy’s Writings nominated me for. Thanks so much, Rosy! Just to let you know this post is a bit counterproductive to this tag…you’ll see what I mean when you start reading 🙂

QUESTION 1: WHEN DID YOU START SNAIL-MAILING? So I just found out what snail-mailing means…and now that I know what it means (thanks google), I’d say I started “snail-mailing” when I was around 5 🙂

QUESTION 2: HOW MANY PEN PALS DO YOU HAVE? Sooo currently….none 🙂 All my friends just text me. The last time I actually sat down and wrote a letter was about 5 years ago, to my pen-pal at the time…we don’t talk anymore though unfortunately.

QUESTION 3: DO YOU DECORATE YOUR ENVELOPES? If I did write letters I probably wouldn’t unless it was for a birthday or holiday.

QUESTION 4: THEMED LETTERS OR RANDOM? I’m a super random person so definitely random.

QUESTION 6: WHY DO YOU WRITE LETTERS? If I did write letters they’d be for fun and just to write random fun stuff but also to just talk about life stuff 🙂

QUESTION 7: DO YOU WRITE LONG LETTERS OR SHORTER LETTERS? Kinda depends on who I would be writing…I have friends who write in abbreviations and other friends that write super long emails…which I think is fun! I’m definitely not an abbreviations fan…though I can adjust for their sake.

QUESTION 8: WHEN DO YOU RESPOND TO LETTERS AND HOW QUICKLY? I guess it depends on how long the letter is. When people email me I usually respond in less than 24 hours but it just really depends on the length of the email/letter 🙂

QUESTION 9: HAVE YOU EVER WAITED TO OPEN LETTERS? When I was younger I don’t think I did. I’m not very patient, though I do keep letters from when I was younger and read through them once in a while.

And the last thing is to write down 5 Things I like to do with pen-pals…I can’t honestly say I have 5 things…so I’m just skipping this one 🙂

My nominations are:

Beautiful Things

Soldier Girl Stories annnd

Lula Boo

And that’s it! Thanks again, Rosy! See you guys soon 🙂

And the Winner is……

Hey guys! Wow!! I was so blessed with so many amazing entries for my Photos by Abby Rose Photography Contest!  I had 9 awesome people enter and a total of 42 photos entered. Let me tell you though…this was a very tough decision! All of the photos were SO good! You all have so much talent! And because picking a first-place winner was so hard I wanted to let you know who came in 2nd and 3rd place. I’m posting the photos I thought were the coolest for the 2nd and 3rd place winners 😀

3rd place…SCompere!! I thought their photos were really unique and fun! I’m definitely more of a creative photographer so I thought these were so cool!

2nd place…Maddy!!! Maddy’s photos were professional and had some pretty neat shots. It was super hard to decide because of the fun twist she has on her photos!

Annnd the 1st place winner is…ANNIE!!!!! Annie’s photos were cute and original and were so fun! This first photo was the real deal-breaker because of fun and creative yet super professional!

I just want to thank all of you who entered! I absolutely loved every photo!! And for those of you who entered please email me at photosbyabbyrose@gmail.com if you would like to hear my thoughts on your photos!

Stay tuned for some fun new blog posts coming up! See you all soon 🙂
