10 Favorite things of mine:

  1. Garden – it’s super therapeutic and cool fun to grow food and it’s also very sustainable!
  2. Farming – you get to watch new life being born every spring, it’s hard work but VERY rewarding.
  3. Smoothies – I LOVE SMOOTHIES!!!! I have one every single morning packed with veggies, fruit, and nut milk (hint hint smoothie recipes coming soon)!
  4. Rabbits – Their the most amazing animals on earth….their clean, loving, sweet, adorable, amazing, cute, etc….
  5. Horses – There’s nothing better than the thrill of riding a horse. Brushing it, feeding it, and loving it (and yes I’ve kissed a horse….DON’T JUDGE it was cute).
  6. Friends – My best friend Cam and I get together as often as we can and have literally so many adventures and take so many selfies on my sister’s phone it can get pretty crazy when we’re together.
  7. Swimming – ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE! I love swimming in cold water (yes I’ve swam in March).
  8. Family – my amazing siblings are always there for me and SUPER silly. My mom and dad are the best parents any person could have. ❤
  9. Organic hair/skin products – There are so many unhealthy brands out there that basically smell good and may look good but are harming our bodies from the outside in…here’s the link to my favorite hair care products: Shampoo & Conditioner & Rosewater
  10. Religion – Recently with the virus going on we’ve had church online…which is super fun! I’m not saying I don’t like going to church every Sunday, but spending time with my family and being able to focus on God, and not those around me has really encouraged me!

10 of my least favorite things:

  1. Dog hair, dog hair, dog hair, and more dog hair! If you haven’t noticed we have some dogs at our house and it’s EVERYWHERE!
  2. Uneven eyebrows – I don’t know about any of you, but uneven eyebrows drive me crazy!
  3. Did I mention dog hair?
  4. Dirty carpets – I really don’t like the feeling of dirty carpets under my feet, so I always try to sweep them before I go to bed.
  5. Snakes – though I love all living creatures and I would never harm it without reason…snakes really freak me out! Their beady eyes and their tail *shivers*
  6. Smells – I love some scented healthy candles and essential oils I really really dislike stuffy rooms that smell like dogs (did I mention I don’t like dogs).
  7. Brushes covered with hair –  I remember coming into my sister’s room and finding her hairbrush filled with a tiny mouse! I’d immediately steal it and end the poor mouse’s existence.
  8. People who abuse animals – sure I said I don’t like dogs…but seeing animals mistreated or tied outside really bugs me. If you have an animal it’s your responsibility to keep it healthy and happy.
  9. Overcooked or undercooked food – it reminds me of chicken butchering (don’t ask).
  10. We began with this one and we shall end with this one…DOG HAIR!!! I love our dog Tirzah (and Winnie) but dog hair really gets everywhere and seems to grow!

I Nominate:

Charcoal Bentonite Clay Mask – Beka

Hey guys! Beka here with an exciting DIY face mask! I’m really looking forward to blogging here and I’m so excited to show you some fun ways to take care of your body!

Activated Charcoal has the ability to pull out toxins from your pores.

Bentonite Clay has the really fun ability to pull out heavy metals (and no I don’t mean steel and tin foil).

Tea Tree Oil is antifungal meaning it helps opens your pores and remove acne (acne is basically an infection on your face).

Raw Honey has the ability to maintain a soothing effect and helps remove oils from your face that aren’t supposed to be there.

Here is an example of what you’ll need:

Directions (DO NOT use a metal spoon when touching bentonite clay):

1 & 1/2 Tablespoon of Bentonite Clay

1 teaspoon Activated Charcoal

4 drops of Tea Tree Oil

A dash of water

1 & 1/2 teaspoon of raw honey/regular honey (we used about a spoonful)

Stir together Bentonite Clay and Activated Charcoal with a plastic or wooden spoon till mixed thoroughly. Mix in Tea Tree Oil and water till paste-like. Add honey and mix till combined (note if you use raw honey, it won’t like mixing together so it’ll take a bit of patience).

I have a beautiful model here and after having her clean her face with cold water, I got her to sit still and I put the charcoal mask on with my CLEAN hands avoiding her eyes, mouth, nose, and eyebrows (warning the mask will stain them so BEWARE)!

Let the mask sit for 15 minutes (or till it begins to feel dry & tightened). This also is a great way to get your siblings to be quiet because it quite literally glues their mouths shut (not permanently) lol. Get a hot washcloth and drape it over their face and let it sit till the washcloth is cold. Allow them to finish washing it off with warm water and pat it dry with a clean towel.

AFTER the Charcoal Mask: After using Bentonite Clay and Charcoal their face will be pretty dried out so I made an oil cleanse with some Almond Oil (just a dash) and had her massage it into her face for a minute. Follow up with a hot washcloth (use a new one) and allow it to cool once again. Then pat it dry with a new clean dry washcloth.

After the Oil Cleanse….

And that’s it! A quick easy way to help treat your skin from any scaring, oil/dry, and dirty pores. Remember not every skin type is the same so use what’s best for you! This has been something my family has found useful and creative (also makes you look like a panda, which is cool).

See you next time guys! Beka signing off ❤️
