Beloved & Freedom – Blog Tour

Hey guys! So Faith & Kaitlyn are doing this great blog tour! Enjoy reading about these books!

The first book is Freedom by Faith Potts

freedom

Having just returned to American soil from the desert sands of the Middle East, James Greene is done with his life. ‘Double amputee’ doesn’t seem like a strong enough phrase to label the physical and emotional pain he bears. Add the lack of love and communication with his family members, the demons that haunt him day and night, and he can find nothing worth living for. Ending it all is the only way out.

Alexandria Lorance is a not-so-ordinary physical therapist, content with aiding in her patients’ recoveries. Her work gives her fulfillment, but alone in the silence, she still endures the hidden scars of a past, unhealthy relationship. Reminding herself that true healing is found in Christ alone, she seeks to show kindness and love to everyone she meets.

When these two broken ones’ paths intersect, the spark of friendship is ignited, bringing hope and joy to both. Can they step out of the darkness of suffering and into the freedom of grace?

A Marine, broken by war. A therapist, scarred by words. A chance meeting in a parking lot bonded them together. But can love grow in these two hurting hearts? Or are they truly too broken to ever find lasting happiness?

My review:

The book was super fun to read and caused me to want to cry in certain parts because of how emotional some of the characters got! I would recommend it for readers 13 and up as it would get a little intense and did involve emotional soldier scenes and many of the characters talked about suicide.

My rating? 4 stars…the writing was awesome and I felt like the main characters really connect some of our day to day feelings.

In the end, I really suggest you read the book though I recommened it for teens and up as there is many references of suicide.

The next book is Beloved by Kaitlyn Krispense

beloved

Life without love is hopeless.

Foster teen Cara Richards is unloved. With nothing left and nowhere to go, she is determined to find peace, no matter the cost. But despite her intentions, she’s tossed into another foster family and this time, there’s no going back to who she used to be. To make matters worse, one of her five new foster brothers is a Jesus freak, and she refuses to believe that God actually cares.

Her world is thrown upside down in a way she never expects. Though she prides herself on a resilient heart, her mind is lost adrift among a sea of questions: Is death really the answer? Does God care about someone as unworthy as me? Can everyone truly be loved, no matter what?

My review: The beginning of this book was awesome! The middle was EVEN better! The ending……well……I’m hoping there is a sequel to this book as the ending was abrupt and too short. I loved the book…..don’t get me wrong and I would rate this book 4 1/2 stars as the writing was excellent and clear. The writer was great at keeping things, not at all confusing which made it awesome to read.

I read this book over a period of days as I didn’t have time to sit down and just read it through but I think it would take about 3ish hours to read if you don’t get distracted doing other things.

I would recommend this book for teens and up as it does have many references of suicide.

Author Bio:author image

Sarah Grace Grzy is a voracious reader, and if it weren’t for this crazy thing called ‘Life,’ she’d be tempted to spend all her days in front of a wood stove, book in one hand, coffee mug in the other. A lover of learning, she finds enjoyment in many things and has more hobbies than she knows what to do with. Sarah Grace is a freelance web and graphic designer, and when not working, spending time with her ever-growing family, or reading, she can be found painting, playing the piano, or fangirling with her sisters and friends. She inhabits the State of Great Lakes, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else—unless it meant she could have a baby penguin, in which case, she’d gladly move to the South Pole.

piper redding - story aesthetic

Piper Redding is a loner, but lonely. Everyone she loves has abandoned her and opening her heart to others is just asking for more pain. No one could love her—not even the God who promised to be there for her but wasn’t.

ezra bryant - story aesthetic

For paramedic Ezra Bryant, failure is not an option. He’s had enough of it, and only by

God’s grace is he able to put it behind him. But when a traumatic event brings Piper ’s greatest fear and Ezra’s failures to light, can they use that event to allow God to mend their broken pieces? Can love triumph over fear, and grace over guilt?
